What must I do to participate in the show?
For the Winter Show, we are planning all the same stuff as we did for the Easter Show, for free. And we are introducing a “Do It For Me Package”, where for a fee (R1000 once-off) we will do additional marketing work for people who choose that option.
Step 1: Choose a Plan
Our free option has already closed. You can still exhibit at the show but only on the paid marketing plan.
Step 2: Choose a Category.
Select which one of the below categories you want to participate in. You can choose one or more then one.
Step 3: Follow Our Best Practice Guide.
From the Easter Show, we can absolutely prove that the knifemakers who did the most promotion of their own work, also are the ones that got the most sales. We have put together a guide to help you get the best out of the show for this year.
Step 4: Submit Application.
Submit the following documents: Biography, knives you want on the show, knives you have made in the past, so we can show many good examples of your work, contact details and links to your online presence.

- We Rewrite and edit your text, so as to ensure it is original content and not competing in Google with other entries you have on the internet.
- We promote you and your knives individual pages. We will also share this on groups and pages.
- We will send you a performance report after the show
- We will rely on you to take care of at least some of the promotions where it involves your own Facebook pages and other marketing channels you already set up for your business.
- You get preferential treatment and positioning throughout the campaign – e.g. featuring in Facebook banners.
- We will accept late applications for paid knifemakers. You can apply up to Monday, 22 June, and we shall still accommodate you. Paid knifemakers can also add knifes and change prices throughout the show.

How to Market Yourself for the Winter Show
The promotion of your own work (marketing) is something that should happen all the time. If you are only doing marketing the weekend of the show, it does not have much impact. If you start your marketing now, and you work on it a little bit every single day, then by the time of the show you are already known by the potential buyers.
Build your page on the website
The sooner you build your page on the website, the better. If you wait till the last minute, you will be in a line of people. If you get your stuff together for your page today, then your page will be built very fast. And once it is built you can start using it in your promotions.
Create new Marketing content every single day
The people that visit knife shows, the people in our knife groups… These people love knives like a fat boy loves cake!
They look at every single photo you put on Facebook. They look at every single video you post. They read every word of your description of how you are building knives.
Some great marketing opportunities
