In Jeremi’s own words

I started making knives late 2016. I always wanted to make my own knives because no company made knives to the specifications I wanted, and at that point I had to rely life and limb on knives I did not fully trust. I'm a Mechanical Engineer, so I started designing my own knives, calculating material stresses and optimizing for the thinnest and strongest edges I could make. My first six knives where hand-filed, I only bought a grinder later on.

I make knives for life-or-death situations. Having had to protect myself and my family from armed assailants, I have keen awareness of what attributes tactical and defensive knives must have. I later branched out into survival and bushcraft, perfecting my survival knife designs while getting my Ranger qualification at a local survival school. All except a few of my knives are made to be concealed and comfortably carried extended periods of time. Every knife I make is made with the keen awareness that one day someone might have their life depend on it.

I mainly do stock removal, and I specialize in tuning heat treatments to suit the needed attributes of the knife. My knives are made for adverse conditions, so I favour using synthetic materials and stainless steels. I currently do a lot of my work with M390 and Elmax, with N690 as a lower-cost option, and Magnacut as a special request. When I do work with High Carbon steels, they are coated with a rust preventing method, either gunmetalbluing or parkerizing. I typically work with 5160, 52100 or 10-series high carbon steels. My sheaths are made from kydex.

Ordering a knife can be done by sending me a message/email. I take custom orders, as well as my own standard designs. Lead times depend on the complexity of the knife. Typical wait times are around 8 weeks, however may be longer when my books are full. I courier country-wide. I do ship outside of South Africa on special request. Should you want to handle my work, a visit to my workshop in Pretoria East can be arranged, or, I can be found at the bi-yearly Cerberus tac trade market (held in July and November).
